16.0 Managing NSS Pools

OES Storage Services uses storage pools to efficiently acquire and use all free space available on devices. A pool is an area of storage that consists of space, called a partition, obtained from one or more of the storage devices available on a server. The amount of space that each storage device contributes can differ for each member device.

For information about installing OES Cluster Services and cluster-enabling shared NSS pools in the OES Cluster Services clusters, see Configuring and Managing Cluster Resources for Shared NSS Pools and Volumes in the OES Cluster Services for Linux Administration Guide. For OES 2 SP3 to OES 24.4 upgrades, see Requirements and Guidelines for Upgrading Clusters from OES 2 SP3 in the OES Cluster Services for Linux Administration Guide. For NetWare 6.5 SP8 to 24.4, see Managing File Systems in Mixed-Mode Clusters in the OES 2015 SP1: Novell Cluster Services NetWare to Linux Conversion Guide.
