Browse and select the containers that contain the workstations.
Select the workstations, click the More actions button
, and then click Add group. A list of LUM-enabled groups from the selected containers are displayed.
Click the Create Group button
.
Enter the group name.
In the Container list, select the container.
NOTE:The group and workstation can reside in different containers.
Choose one or more of the following group types:
Dynamic group: Managed by rules or conditions, rather than being statically assigned. If you select a Nested group, this option becomes unavailable.
Nested group: Includes other groups as members, in addition to individual users. If you select a Dynamic group, this option becomes unavailable.
Set Owner: The UMC logged-in user has administrative controls and permissions over the group. To leave the Owner attribute undefined, clear the Set Owner check box.
If no options are selected, a static group is created by default.
Select the group and click Next.
These groups are LUM-enabled and added to the workstation.
In Settings, choose one of the following options and click Next:
Enable LUM for all users in the selected group: All users in the group are LUM-enabled. If you select multiple groups, this option is disabled.
Enable LUM for specific users in the selected groups: Only the selected users are LUM-enabled.
Enable LUM for selected groups (not for users): Only the groups are LUM-enabled. Users not enabled for LUM will not have access to the workstation services. However, if some users in the group are already LUM-enabled, they will still have access to the services.
If the Enable LUM for specific users in the selected groups option is selected, a list of users are displayed. Both the selected users and any existing LUM-enabled users will have access to the workstation services.
Select the Linux configuration object for the workstation and click Next.
Review the summary and click Finish.
The newly created group is LUM-enabled, and the users in this group have access to the workstation services.
