Documentation Set

The Documentation Set is a collection of PDF and HTML documents which provides the information needed to install and use OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition. The Documentation Set currently includes:

• Product Guide (pdf) - the document that users should read first. The Product Guide provides:
  • a general description of the OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition product and its benefits
  • contact and information sources
  • essential installation and configuring information
• Release Notes - provides the latest information about the current OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition release, including:
  • Known Issues - lists known issues that users should be aware of.
  • Fixed Bugs - lists the bugs reported by PrismTech customers and which have been fixed in the OpenFusion RTOrb product.
  • Supported Platforms - lists the platforms supported by this release.
  • Enhancements - lists the enhancements that have been added to the OpenFusion RTOrb product, including user-visible changes.

OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition Directory Organisation

The OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition components are located in the following sub-directories of the installation:

• bin - contains the OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition executables
• docs - contains html and pdf documentation set
• etc - the default location for the license file
• examples - contains the code examples demonstrating the use of OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition
• idl - contains the ORB IDL files
• lib - contains all the OpenFusion RTOrb Java Edition jar files
