27.2 Viewing Networks

All roles for a project can view the network information.

  1. In the Web Interface toolbar, select the Platforms tab.

  2. Select the platform, then click Edit.

  3. Under Associations, select the Networks tab, then select Virtual Networks.

  4. On the Networks tab, the list of networks is limited to those associated with the selected platform.

    Networks List for Azure Platforms

    • Name - network name

    • Location - Azure location where the Azure platform resides, such as West US

    • Resource Group - Name of the resource group that contains the network

    • Address space - IPv4 address space allocated to the network in CIDR notation, such as 10.0.0.0/16.

    Networks List for VMware Platforms

    • Name - network name

    • Cluster - name of the VMware cluster that hosts the platform

    • Host Name - IPv4 address of the host, such as 10.10.187.55

    • Hosts - number of hosts in the network

    • VMs - number of VMs o the host

    Virtual Private Clouds List for AWS Platforms

    • Name - network name

    • Region - AWS region where the AWS platform resides, such as West US

    • Address space - IPv4 address space allocated to the network in CIDR notation, such as 10.0.0.0/16.

    • Tenancy - Indicates the type of hardware to use for the target VMs:

      • Shared hardware (default)

      • Dedicated hardware

      • Dedicated host (a specific host or auto-placement)

  5. Select a Network resource, then click View (or double-click the resource) to view the following settings for the resource:

    • Name

    • Platform

    • Description (can be modified)

  6. (Optional) Select a Network resource, then click Exclude to make the resource unavailable for target VMs you allocate to the platform.

  7. (Optional) Filter entries in the Networks list using the Search field to show only the networks of interest. Type a sequence of characters in the Search area to initiate filtering. The filter applies as you type. You can filter on information in any one of the columns at a time.

  8. (Optional) Sort entries by the values in a column. Pause over the column to expose the menu option, click it, then select Sort Ascending or Sort Descending.
