35.3 Excluding or Including an Availability Set Resource

Discovered Availability Set resources are automatically included in the list of resources available for an Azure Platform resource.

You can use the Exclude option on the Availability Sets page to exclude an Availability Set resource for use by migrations to the target platform. The excluded Availability Set resource appears dimmed in the Availability Sets list. Excluded resources do not appear in other dialogs for planning.

NOTE:Transformation Manager automatically removes its associations, including those assigned to workloads that are in progress and completed.

To exclude an Availability Set resource for a target platform:

  1. In the Web Interface toolbar, select Platforms, select the Azure platform, then click Edit.

  2. Under Associations, select the Availability Sets tab.

  3. Select the appropriate availability set, click Exclude, then click Yes to confirm the exclusion.

You can use the Include option to enable an excluded Availability Set resource. Including the Availability Set resource does not reinstate any prior associations the availability set had before you excluded it.
