43.1 About AWS Encryption Keys

PlateSpin Transformation Manager discovers available cloud encryption keys for the target AWS Cloud platform. Encryption Keys vary according to the AWS Cloud selected for the platform. The permissions of the AWS subscription might also influence the encryption keys available for the platform.

Encryption Keys List

For an AWS Platform, the Encryption Keys tab displays the following information for each discovered Encryption Key resource:

Name

The name of the resource in the target environment.

Region Name

The AWS Region where the Encryption Key can be used.

Status

The AWS status of the Encryption Key, such as Enabled or Pending Import.

Edit Encryption Keys Dialog

For an AWS Platform, the Edit Encryption Key dialog displays the following information for a specified resource:

Platform

The parent target platform for the Encryption Key.

Name

The name of the Encryption Key in the target platform environment.

Description

(Optional) Specify a brief description of the Encryption Key. This text appears by default in the Encryption Keys list.

Associations: Workloads

A list of the workloads that have been configured to use the Encryption Key in Manual (tracking) mode.
