33.3 Associating Storage Accounts and Target Workloads

For migrations to Azure, you specify Storage Accounts for target VMs that do not use the Azure Managed Disks service. After you discover Storage Account resources for the target platform, you can associate them with target workloads. You can use the same storage account or different storage account for the system and data volumes.

To set the Storage Account resource for a volume:

  1. In the Web Interface toolbar, select Planning.

  2. Select the Workloads tab.

  3. Select the workload, then click Edit. You can alternatively double-click the workload of interest.

  4. Ensure that the workload is configured to use Azure and that the target VM is not configured to use Azure Managed Disks.

  5. On the Workload dialog in the Storage panel, click Edit.

  6. On the Volumes tab, select the volume.

  7. From the Storage Accounts list, select the Storage Account resource that you want to assign to the target workload.

  8. Specify the Disk Path to use in the storage account for the selected volume.

  9. (Optional) Modify other disk and volume interface information as appropriate.

  10. Click Save, and then click Close.

  11. Click Close to exit the Workload dialog.
