40.1 About AWS Security Groups
PlateSpin Transformation Manager discovers available cloud security groups for the target AWS Cloud platform. The permissions of the AWS subscription might also influence the security groups available for the platform.

For an AWS Platform, the Security Groups tab displays the following information for each discovered Security Group resource:
- Name

The name of the resource in the target environment.
- Region Name

The AWS Region where the Security Group can be used.
- Inbound Ports

Pause above the inbound ports to view information about the rules for the port in an infotip window.

- Edit Placement Groups Dialog

For an AWS Platform, the Edit Security Group dialog displays the following information for a specified resource:
- Platform

The parent target platform for the Security Group.
- Name

The name of the Security Group in the target platform environment.
- Description

(Optional) Specify a brief description of the Security Group. This text appears by default in the Security Groups list.
- Associations: Workloads

A list of the workloads that have been configured to use the Security Group in Manual (tracking) mode.
