PlateSpin Transformation Manager allows you to import information about source workloads for each transformation project. PTM creates an initial same-as-source configuration for the target workload. You can specify appropriate resources and configuration based on the target platform.
Workloads are the cloud, physical, or virtual computers that you want to transform from their current mode of operation to a future mode of operation. You can use a variety of import methods to add workloads to the PlateSpin Transformation Manager database.
A successful import triggers an automated discovery process that inventories the workload configuration and adds the information to the database. You can modify the source workload information by re-importing or re-discovering the machine information.
After successful discovery, PlateSpin Transformation Manager creates a target workload based on the source workload configuration. You can use individual edit and bulk edit to customize the target workload.
