TN5250 Printer Document\Connection

These settings are available in the Configure Connection Settings Dialog box for 5250 Printers and the ID management dialog box.

Item Name	UI Description
AutoConnect	Auto connect
	Establishes a host connection as soon as the printer session is started.
DeviceName	Device Name
	Specifies the terminal device name (also called the display name or the workstation ID) that the IBM System i should use for your session.
ExitOnDisconnect	Close session automatically
	Automatically closes the session when a session is disconnected. This option is in the When connection is terminated list.
Host	Host name or IP address
	Specifies the host name/IP address.
IDMCriteria	Set up ID Management
	Opens the ID Management dialog box. This option is available when the Connection option in Connection type is selected.
IDMPoolName	Pool name
	Specifies the pool of resource IDs that a client can use to establish a host session. This item is on the ID management dialog box that is displayed when you click Set up ID Management.
IDMServerURL	Reflection ID Management Server URL
	Specifies the server used for ID Management. This item is on the ID management dialog box that is displayed when you click Set up ID Management. It specifies the URL of the centrally managed server.
ModelID	Model ID
	Specifies the printer model to emulate.
Port	Port
	Specifies the host port or socket number that the session should use.
PromptReconnect	Prompt for reconnection
	Prompts whether to attempt to reestablish the connection when the connection is terminated.
UseIDManagement	Use ID Management
	Configures and monitors a pool of resource IDs that a client can use to establish a host session, thereby eliminating the need for administrators to create configurations for every client. To use ID Manager, you'll need access to a centralized management server with ID Manager configured.
