This chapter covers some aspects of troubleshooting problems with running JCL applications in an MSS-enabled enterprise server.
Problem diagnosis on a JCL-enabled enterprise server is very similar to problem diagnosis on an enterprise server running Web services or EJB-type services, as described in the chapter Troubleshooting in the Enterprise Server Configuration and Administration Guide.
The Consolidated Tracing Facility (CTF) allows you to produce diagnostic information detailing the operation of Micro Focus software components and your own programs. See Introduction to the Consolidated Tracing Facility for details about this feature.
If you get MVSJOBNO I/O error 42, delete the file mvsjobds.dat, which you will find in the same directory as your catalog, and then try the failed operation again.
