To authorize your product manually

Manual authorization is necessary if your machine does not have Internet connectivity or if normal (automatic) authorization has failed. Where normal authorization has failed the user interface for Manual authorization is displayed automatically. You can start the interface manually by taking the Manual Activation option from the Options menu.

Manual Authorization from the Options menu:

1. Start the Licensing System Administration tool if it is not already enabled.
2. From the Options menu, select Manual Activation

Take the following steps for both methods of Manual Authorization:

1. Either:

   Click the http link on the Manual Authorization Interface

   or

   Paste the http link into an Internet browser.

   The link will take you to the Micro Focus Safenet activation webpage.

2. Enter your authorization code in Enter Activation Code .

   Your authorization code is a 16-character alphanumeric string. It is printed on a colored card marked Authorization Code that is provided with your product packaging.

3. Enter your Machine ID. The Machine ID string is displayed on the Manual Authorization interface.
4. Click Generate.

   The license string for the authorization code will be displayed.

5. Copy the license string and paste it into License String on the Manual Authorization interface.
6. Click Install Licenses.
