To set up a central license server and load licenses

You can set up a central license server if your site has multiple licenses. A license server is installed automatically when you install your Micro Focus product. You are able to use any license server installation as your central license server without additional configuration.

Note: Internet connectivity is required to authorize your product and obtain licenses.

After you have installed your product:

  1. Start the Licensing System Administration tool if it is not already enabled.
  2. Click the Authorize tab.
  3. Enter your authorization code.

    Your authorization code is a 16-character alphanumeric string. It is printed on a colored card marked Authorization Code that is provided with your product packaging. The licenses associated with the authorization code are loaded into the license server.

  4. Click Authorize.

Warning: If you change the name of your license server after it has granted licenses it will stop working.
