14.2 Importing Single Sign-On Data in Encrypted XML Files

  1. Launch SLManager.

  2. In the object field, specify your object name, then click OK.

  3. Click Distribution.

  4. Click Load.

  5. Select the configurations you want to import.

    Application

    Imports all configured application definitions as displayed in Application.

    Credentials

    Imports all credentials as displayed in the Logins pane, including passwords.

    Password Policies

    Imports password policies as displayed in Password Policies Properties.

    Preferences

    Imports preferences manually set in the Preferences Properties tables.

    Passphrase Question

    Provides users with a selection of passphrase questions. This option copies, exports, and imports only those passphrase questions to which the user has responded.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Select the exported encrypted (ESX) file.

  8. Click Open.

  9. Specify the password and click OK.

    If a predefined application or an application definition already exists in the destination object, you get a confirmation message.

    Click Yes if you want to overwrite the existing application definition with the imported one.

  10. If you click Yes, the configuration is copied across to the user object, organizational unit, or container. A confirmation message appears indicating that the information is copied to the destination object.

  11. Click OK.
