28.4 Configuring the Emulator Type of Terminal Launcher

To interact the screens and inject username and passwords, the VBA Emulator type of the Terminal Launcher must be WinHLLAPI.

Perform the following steps to set WinHLLAPI as the emulator type:

  1. Click Start > Programs > NetIQ SecureLogin > Terminal Launcher 32 or Terminal Launcher 64.

  2. Right-click Terminal Launcher 32 or Terminal Launcher 64 and select Run as administrator.

  3. Select the application for which you want to change the emulator type.

  4. Click Edit Available Emulators.

  5. Click New and specify the following details:

    Emulator name

    Specify a name for the emulator.

    Emulator type

    Select WinHLLAPI.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Specify the following details:

    Emulator Path

    Specify the emulator executable’s location.

    For example, C:\Users\administrator\Desktop\<session-name>.rd3x

    Home Directory

    Specify the emulator’s home directory.

    For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro Focus\Reflection

    HLLAPI DLL

    Specify the file name and path.

    For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro Focus\Reflection\Whlapi32.dl

    HLLAPI Function

    Specify WinHLLAPI.

    Session Files

    Select the current session file.

  8. Click OK > Done.
