Silk Meter enables you to check-out license policies from your Silk Meter server and use them off the network for up to 14 days. To check out a policy:
Access the Policy
Administrator and connect to the remote server.
Important: Policy Administrator needs to run in elevated mode.
Start it with ‘Run as administrator’.
Select the appropriate policy, then click File/Check-out Mobile Policy, or use the corresponding button on the toolbar. Note: You can not check out policies with maximum invokes or units.
On the Check-out Mobile Policies dialog, enter the number of licenses to be checked out, and select the number of days.
Click OK. Below the product name, the Policy Administrator displays the icon for the remote server, and the icon for the local client.
The policy automatically checks back in once the selected number of days has been reached. See Checking in a policy to check a policy in before the expiration date has been reached.
Product: Product name and version.
Available: Number of available licenses.
Check-out: Number of licenses to be checked out.
Number of days: Number of days the license is checked out. Default maximum is 14 days.
Connect to local Silk Meter server: Check to connect back to the local server after checking out the mobile licenses.
