Importing Users

Once you have configured sources and targets, there are several ways to import and update information about users and groups. You can:

  • Make your selections directly from the Sources and Targets panes.
  • Make selections using the Import Users Wizard.
  • Create templates that can be reused from the UI.

All of these operations are available through and briefly explained on the Import Users dialog box.

  1. Click Import > Users. The Import Users dialog opens. It allows you to import users based on selections already made to the Sources and Targets pane, with the wizard, or with a template that you have previously created.
  2. Select one of the three options and click OK. Each of the options is explained in the following sections.
  3. After you click OK (or after you complete the wizard if you selected the With The Wizard option button), you should check the Messages pane for information about your import operation.
Note: To display or hide the Messages pane, select View > Messages from the menu bar or press Alt+M.
