To specify line numbering options

You can specify the following line numbering options in the IDE:

1. In Visual COBOL, click Windows > Preference.
2. Expand Micro Focus > COBOL > Editor, and click Line Numbering.
3. Check one or both options for the style in which you want your source numbered:
   • COBOL (left-hand margin) - numbers run down the left-hand side of the source.
   • Standard (right-hand margin) - numbers run down the right-hand side of the source.
4. Click Apply, then click OK.
