Note: This topic applies to UNIX environments (remote development) only.
You can access two types of online help from the Character Animator screen:
- Press
F1=help to view a help screen which displays information about the current function as well as defining the options available from
that function. If there is more than one screen of help text, pressing F1 again displays the next screen. To return to the
current function from the help screen, press F1 (from the last screen) or the Space bar.
- Press
ALT + 1 to access the On-Line Reference. This contains COBOL language syntax diagrams and the error messages for the syntax-check
phase of compilation. To return to the current function from the On-line Reference screen, press
Escape then
Y.
