Setting Up a User Account

Restriction: This topic applies only when a Database Connectors license has been installed via the Micro Focus License Management System.

For Database Connectors for Oracle to be able to communicate with the Oracle database, you must specify a valid user login that has the required read and write access to the database. For this, you can set up either one general account for all Database Connectors users or an account for each individual user. To set up an account, you must have database administrator (DBA) privileges.

Note: You may opt to use Oracle's Enterprise Manager on Windows platforms to simplify the login process. If you decide to use the Enterprise Manager, please refer to your Enterprise Manager documentation instead.
