Our primary concern is the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners. That commitment covers everything, from making sure we are doing our part to “stop the spread”, to maintaining business continuity so that our customers and partners don’t have to worry about theirs. Like most companies and institutions, we are closely monitoring the latest information provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local governments, and we are adapting our plans to reflect the updated guidelines and evolving situation of COVID-19.
Micro Focus maintains a continuous state of operational readiness and is working across teams and time zones to ensure that our core functions and sites are activating their Business Continuity Plans. Given the unprecedented level of change and the varying dynamics with how COVID-19 is spreading, we have put in place a dedicated COVID-19 Steering Group comprised of leaders from across our organization, who are collaborating to dynamically adapt and augment our plans where needed.
Our employees are empowered with digital tools to continue to do their jobs, collaborate and support one another, and engage with our customers and partners to drive the best outcomes possible.
We have over 40 years of experience helping customers navigate the need to build, operate, secure and analyze their systems – the systems that keep important business and social functions running and optimized, we now more than ever need to use that knowledge and experience to help our customers and partners. Our goal is to be there for employees, customers and partners in whatever way they need, enabling technology, some advice, a different perspective or just someone to keep things going as we see businesses having to adapt and change every day.
Part of being there for our customers, is making sure that we get the information our customers need on products and solutions to them to help them handle the new reality, how do their turn a workforce remote, how do they ensure that taking every remote doesn’t impact security and risk, how do they make sure their apps and networks can handle the new load. Recently, we launched our first Virtual Universe program – converting a large-scale live event into a content-rich and real-time digital experience for customers. It was hard, but it was the right thing to do and in a small way we hope we did our part to help #StoptheSpread. In fact, we won’t be doing any face-to-face events for at least the next month and we will be turning our major North America Micro Focus Universe event in May to be virtual also. We hope that we can get back to meeting with our customers and partners face-to-face but for now, the right thing to do is to help #StoptheSpread in any way we can. We will continue over the coming weeks and months to make content and resources available to all of customers and partners to help you keep your business plans progressing and ensure you have what you need for your own business continuity.
