Employees from the Micro Focus Cluj office in Romania raised funds to provide a printer, paper and printer cartridges to a local rural school – in addition to donating backpacks and school supplies for 25 students as they started their new school year recently.
Ioana Pop, HR Business Partner and CSR Ambassador for Romania, said through a successful fundraising initiative, employees in the Cluj Research & Development office raised funds to make a positive difference for the school, which does not have an internet connection and relies on having a printer to provide worksheets to students to support their studies.
Ioana said: “Due to the generosity of our colleagues, we were able to raise a fair amount of money, more than we had anticipated. We can’t describe the happiness on the children’s faces when they received their backpacks and school supplies. We are grateful to have been able to share and INSPIRE.”
