Novell Unveils Services and Solutions to Help Customers Maximize the Value of ZENworks Configuration Management

Novell today announced several enhancements to its solution suite for endpoint management designed to help customers maximize their investments in the ZENworks product line. The introduction of the ZENworks Migration Assurance Program gives customers an integrated services offering of consulting, support and training to ease deployment and leverage best practices. With the upcoming releases of ZENworks Configuration Management, ZENworks Asset Management and ZENworks Patch Management, new features will give customers greater flexibility and control in managing their IT infrastructure. Together, this suite of solutions will help customers simplify endpoint management, increase user productivity and control IT costs.

New features in ZENworks Configuration Management Support Pack 2 (SP2) include:

  • An enhanced cross-product reporting engine which offers a customized interface with powerful filtering and formating capabilities. This reporting engine also extends to ZENworks Asset Management and ZENworks Patch Management.
  • Extended platform support, including support for SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 SP2 for ZENworks satellite servers.
  • Desktop management and configuration capabilities to simplify the management of IT environments.

Availability
ZENworks Migration Assurance is available today. ZENworks Configuration Management SP2, ZENworks Asset Management SP2 and ZENworks Patch Management SP2 will be available in the second quarter of 2009.
