Novell Among the Top 25 Companies for Work-Life Balance

Novell Scores National Acclaim from Glassdoor.com

13 August 2012

Novell® Inc., has been named one of the Top 25 Companies for Work-Life Balance by Glassdoor.com, the leading online social jobs and career community. The award recognizes the national companies offering the best balance between work and personal life—measured entirely on employee feedback collected within the last year.

Almost 100,000 companies were reviewed and considered for inclusion in Glassdoor.com’s second annual report. Novell was ranked 13th overall in the U.S., and joined by other high-profile companies like LinkedIn, Orbitz, REI, Bain & Company and Careerbuilder.com.

“Knowing that the success of Novell is directly dependent on its employees, we strongly encourage and look for employees to exhibit passion for what they do both in and out of the office,” said Bob Flynn, President of Novell. “We offer a flexible and dynamic work environment that not only attracts top talent but, we believe, adds to employee productivity.”

“In today’s highly connected world, striving for work-life balance can feel virtually impossible given greater access to our jobs around the clock,” said Rusty Rueff, Glassdoor career and workplace expert, who ran global HR departments at Electronic Arts and PepsiCo before co-authoring Talent Force: A New Manifesto for the Human Side of Business. “Companies that make sincere efforts to recognize employees’ lives outside of the office will often see the payoff when it comes to recruiting and retaining top talent.”
