Novell Improves its Access Management Solution with New Service Pack

22 October 2007

Continuing its efforts to deliver high-quality products to its customers, Novell today announced a new service pack to improve the performance, reliability and security of its access management solution. Novell Access Manager 3 is designed to work seamlessly with customers' existing IT environments and supports a broad range of platforms and directory services to provide a single, centralized and secure access management solution for the enterprise.

The Novell Access Manager 3 service pack incorporates enhancements such as:

  • Enterprise-mode SSL VPN, which provides secure access to more applications, including File and Print services from Microsoft and Novell.
  • An improved administration interface, which streamlines navigation when managing multiple devices.
  • Authentication levels, which allows Access Manager to trust a previously validated authentication that has a matching or higher authentication level.
  • A test version of Kerberos-enabled background authentication, which allows a single sign-on to Novell Access Manager when a user has authenticated to Microsoft Active Directory.

Novell Access Manager 3 protects both Web and enterprise applications, and helps organizations enhance user productivity, streamline administration, increase security and ensure compliance.
