Company assessment based on its completeness of vision and ability to execute

Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO; NYSE: MFGP) today announced that it has been named a Leader in Gartner’s 2017 Magic Quadrant for Software Test Automation. Micro Focus solutions’ including Unified Functional Testing, Unified Functional Testing Pro, Business Process Testing and Silk Test were evaluated for the report.

“The explosion in variety of digital devices and browsers have left most organizations challenged with the ability to continuously test and deliver high-quality, high-performing applications at speed and scale,” said Raffi Margaliot (@raffima), senior vice president and general manager, Application Delivery Management, Micro Focus. "With market-leading offerings to ensure customers can boldly build applications with the testing capabilities required at the speed of DevOps, Micro Focus deeply synergizes to enhance our customer’s user experience – and ultimately reduces their development costs.”

Micro Focus merged with Hewlett Packard Enterprise Software in September 2017. Prior to the transaction, Gartner had named HPE Software a leader for three consecutive years, dating back to 2014, in its Magic Quadrant for Software Test Automation.

Delivering comprehensive testing capabilities that support an array of testing standards, Micro Focus continues product advancements and investments for its functional test automation offerings in the market.

  • Unified Functional Testing (UFT), UFT Pro and Silk Test: The combined functional test automation solutions are fully aligned with practices for continuous integration and testing – and are optimized for DevOps practices. Spanning converged infrastructure, open source, Docker and network virtualization environments, these solutions are designed to test the enterprise’s full-stack of applications to deliver quality software at the speed businesses require.
  • Business Process Testing (BPT): Designed for business users, BPT is a non-technical component-based framework, which accelerates test automation at higher efficiencies by greatly reducing script creation and maintenance.
