This community provides the support for new managed platforms in Server Automation to enable use cases such as: OS provision, patching, update software and perform audits on servers, as well as other tasks.
Note:
The platform installers must be installed in the order in which they were released.
In this way, the scenarios where an older platform installer would overwrite the content already applied by a newer platform installer will be avoided.
If, for any reason, there is a need to install an older platform installer, the platform installers already installed which are newer than the older platform installer will have to be re-installed, in the order they were released on the marketplace.
The release dates of the platform installers are visible on the marketplace under the Managed Platform Content for Server Automation, Releases section.

Platform Installer for Debian 12 X86_64 on SA 2022.11
Prerequisites:
- ROLLUP_2022.11.006 or newer needs to be installed on the core.
Limitations:
- OS Build Plan:/opt/opsware/bin/python3 patch_folder.pyc -s ./debian_import_sample.toml -d /opt/opsware/patch_importer/deb_import/etc/;
1. Debian OSBP step 2: "Set Media Source" needs to point to the unzipped content of a Network boot image(netboot.tar.gz);
Default url: https://deb.debian.org/debian/dists/bookworm/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/.
2. Debian OSBP step 9: "Set Second Debian Media Source" needs to point to the unzipped Debian DVD 1;
Default url: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current/amd64/iso-dvd/.
- OS Provisioning
The Debian DVD ISO doesn't contain the drivers for SCSI hard-disk and the OS installation will fail during disk partitioning.
To workaround this issue, instead of using the DVD ISO as the second media source, an actual Debian repository needs to be used.
To use an actual Debian repository we provide two options:
1. Use an official/external Debian repository - for this option you will most definitely need an HTTP proxy;
The Debian OSBP has an http_proxy custom attribute where you can specify the HTTP proxy.
2. Use an internal mirror of a Debian repository - the easiest way to set up a Debian mirror
is to use apt-cacher-ng (https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/apt-cacher-ng).
OS Provisioning is working only with BIOS.
