Novell today announced that it received three LinuxWorld* Product Excellence Awards, more than any other vendor at the conference. Novell ZENworks® Linux Management was judged to be the “Best Systems Management Tool,” while the “Best Security Solution” went to Novell NsureTM, a secure identity management platform. Novell exteNdTM 5.2 won the “Best Integration Solution,” the second consecutive LinuxWorld Product Excellence award for Novell's service-oriented architecture suite. Winners were selected as the top product and service innovations and solutions in open computing by a panel of industry experts and were announced by IDG World Expo on Tuesday at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo.

Novell also led the way in nominations with finalists in seven of the 14 categories. Other Novell product finalists include SUSE® LINUX Enterprise Server, Novell GroupWise® 6.5, Novell EvolutionTM 2.0 and Novell-sponsored MonoTM. The number of finalists and award recipients across a wide range of categories demonstrates the overall strength of Novell's enterprise-class Linux solutions.

“Being recognized by the industry gathered here at LinuxWorld validates Novell's commitment to providing quality 'up-the-stack' solutions that run on Linux,” said Chris Stone, Novell vice chairman – Office of the CEO. “By bringing together a complete set of networking services, secure identity management, resource management and application development on Linux, we're helping to bring enterprise-class services to the Linux platform.”
