GWAVA in 2009 Magic Quadrant for EMail Active Archiving

21 July 2009

GWAVA is pleased to announce that it is positioned in Gartner's 2009 Magic Quadrant for E-Mail Active Archiving.(1) According to Gartner, "the e-mail active-archiving market targets vendors that not only provide for the capture of e-mail messages, but also use that archive to allow for the purging of messages from the active mail data store while giving the end user the illusion of an infinite mailbox."

Retain 1.7 by GWAVA archives, purges and recovers messages sent through GroupWise post offices. Retain archives all emails and messages sent through the system. This accuracy makes it possible to restore messages, provide accurate audit records and reliable eDiscovery for legal purposes. Retain also provides web access so that administrators can manage their archives from mobile devices.

According to Richard Bliss, Vice President of Marketing for GWAVA, "If you use Retain, you will have peace of mind knowing that you can always easily locate any and all messages sent through GroupWise. Since it is policy-based software, you can set the parameters you want for e-mail archiving. You can protect your organization against accidental deletion and litigation and comply with retention laws."

Retain runs on multiple platforms, including Linux, NetWare and Windows. For more information, go to www.gwava.com/retain.
