NetIQ Identity Manager 4.5 recognized for product excellence by SC Magazine Readership.

20 January 2015

NetIQ today announced that NetIQ Identity Manager 4.5 has been selected as a finalist in the "Best Identity Management Solution" category of the 2015 SC Awards. NetIQ Identity Manager 4.5 is recognized as a top product in the Reader Trust Award competition, which honors best-in-class security products and services as selected by a panel of readers who represent the larger readership of SC Magazine.

The SC Awards, now in their 18th year, are the information security industry's most prominent recognition for cybersecurity professionals, products, and services. With the awards, SC Magazine recognizes the achievements of security professionals in the field, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities, and the vigilant work of government, commercial and nonprofit entities.

"We are very pleased to be named once again as finalist in the SC Awards in the Best Identity Management Solution category, said Travis Greene, Identity Solution Strategist, NetIQ. "In a world in which insider attacks and advanced persistent threats represent an increasing component of the risk businesses face, identity plays an essential role in securing sensitive information. NetIQ will continue to bring this critical identity element to security teams who have in the past lacked the context needed to enable secure access within the context of an increasingly complex threat landscape."

A panel representing a cross-section of SC Magazine's readership from large, medium, and small enterprises from all major vertical markets selected NetIQ Identity Manager 4.5 from the hundreds of entries submitted across multiple technology categories.

"As a finalist for a Reader Trust Award, NetIQ Identity Manager 4.5 has already earned the respect of real IT professionals working in the trenches to protect networks from the cyberattacks that plague organizations with increasing frequency," said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Magazine.

Winners of this year's SC Awards U.S. will be announced at a gala dinner and award ceremony to be held in San Francisco on April 21, 2015.
