Version Browser Commands

The following commands are available in the Version Browser. Commands are available in both the toolbar and context menu unless noted otherwise.

Opens the selected item. For more information, see Using the Open Command.

Runs your browser's Open command allowing you to open or save the selected file. See Save As.
GUID-62839332-7F6F-49E3-A1A9-A94C9720A73E-low.png Annotate

Opens the selected item in Annotate tab. See Reviewing Changes to Text Files.

GUID-AD5091DE-E01D-4F5C-9629-7C9C5A780836-low.png Diff Against other
Compares two versions using the Diff tab. See Diffing Files in AccuRev.
Expand Ancestry

Versions that contain merge, patch, or revert information can be expanded to display versions related to those operations. Merged, patched, or reverted versions include a symbol in addition to the version number, as shown here: GUID-F64819C5-EDFA-4F54-BF21-E2D904862D4F-low.png. This command is available from the context menu only.

GUID-339FE89C-1170-45F0-90CC-73F01531E4EC-low.png Properties
Displays the Properties dialog box for the selected item. See Displaying Element Properties.
GUID-5E05C27F-EC4C-4BEC-A017-6116180A77DA-low.png Add Stream
Show additional versions of the element from the stream you select. This command is available from the Version Browser toolbar only.
Note: Streams added to the Version Browser do not persist after using the Refresh command.
GUID-1D6AB2DD-4B52-41DB-8AD9-CCFD4DDD84BE-low.png Remove Stream
Removes a non-workspace stream previously added to the Version Browser using the Add Stream button. Workspace streams cannot be removed in this manner.
GUID-C349B6C9-0A4B-4AA2-885D-C9ED2004FD4D-low.png Send to Issue
Record the selected versions in the change package section (Changes tab) of an issue record. You are prompted to enter the issue number. This command (Send To > Issue) is available from the context menu only.

Similar to Send to Issue, except that it allows you to pick the basis version, rather than AccuRev determining it automatically. This command (Send To > Issue (specifying basis)) is available from the context menu only.
