Change Guardian 6.2.1.2 Release Notes

Change Guardian provides security intelligence to rapidly identify and respond to unauthorized activities of privileged users that indicate a security breach or compliance gaps. Change Guardian helps security teams to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time. The Change Guardian server has been deployed in SaaS environment and an on-premises forwarder is used to manage agents and configure policies.

Change Guardian 6.2.1.2 release includes new features, security fixes, and usability improvements. Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. 1.0 What is New?

The following sections outline the key features and functions provided by this version, as well as issues resolved in this release:

1.1 Change Guardian Agent for UNIX Installation contains libnsl-2

The UNIX Agent installation for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.x includes RPM libnsl-2 with the agent package.

1.2 New Platforms Support for Agent Installation

Change Guardian now supports agent installation on the following:

  • Windows Server 10, Windows 2022

  • RHEL 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 8.7, 8.6, 8.5

  • Oracle Linux 8.7, 8.6, 8.5

  • AIX 7.3

3.0 Applying Change Guardian 6.2.1.2 Patch

You can upgrade to Change Guardian 6.2.1.2 by applying the 6.2.1.2 patch upon the 6.2.1.1 forwarder. For information on applying the patch, see Applying Updates to Change Guardian Components.

4.0 Known Issues

4.1 UNIX Agents Do Not Display Policy Diagnosis Warning

Issue: When a UNIX agent is in Warning state, the Change Guardian diagnosis warning message is not displayed for the agent with no functionality impacted.(Defect 777016)

Workaround: None.

4.2 Agent Displays Warning State After Upgrading to Patch 2

Issue: When you upgrade to Change Guardian 6.2.1 Patch 2, the agent displays policies in Warning state with the diagnosis issue as Validation block has errors.(Defect 784033)

Workaround: Upgrade Policy Editor and modify or recreate the policies.

4.3 Change Guardian Server Does Not Connect to AWS in an Authentication-Enabled Proxy Environment

Issue: In an authentication-enabled proxy server, the S Link integrator fails to connect to an Internet URL and shows the following error:

java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required.(Defect 559014)

Workaround: None.

4.4 Unable to Export More Than 50k Federated Events in a Multi-Region SaaS Environment

Issue: Change Guardian federated event reports of more than 50k fail to export in a SaaS deployment with master nodes federation enabled.(Defect 565175)

Workaround: None.
