View ribbon

The options under the View ribbon enable you to choose what buttons appear for you in the Content Manager toolbars.

  • Format Columns - customise columns. See Customising the list pane.
  • View Pane - choose the pane you want to use in the view pane:
    • Properties Pane or CTRL+1 - to view a selected item's properties
    • Notes Pane or CTRL+2 - to view a selected item's notes
    • Preview Pane or CTRL+3 - to preview a selected item
    • Previous Pane or CTRL+4 - to preview the previous revision of the electronic document
  • Shortcuts Bar - customise the shortcuts bar. See Favourites, Recent, Trays, To Do Items

  • Shortcuts - displays or hides the shortcuts bar
  • Search - displays or hides the Search pane
  • Status Bar - displays or hides the status bar at the bottom of the Content Manager window
  • Activity Log - displays or hides the Activity log
  • Tab Bar - displays the open windows in tabs.

    Select a tab to bring its window to the front.

    Choose from:

    • Off
    • Top - when the page limit of tabs is reached, you can navigate through the open tabs by either clicking on the tab or using the forward and back buttons to move through the tabs.
    • Bottom - when the page limit of tabs is reached, you can navigate through the open tabs by either clicking on the tab or using the forward and back buttons to move through the tabs.
    • Top with menu - when the page limit of tabs is reached, you can navigate through the open tabs by either clicking on the tab or using the drop-down list to select the required tab.
    • Bottom with menu - when the page limit of tabs is reached, you can navigate through the open tabs by either clicking on the tab or using the drop-down list to select the required tab.
  • Viewpane - allows you to select the position of the view pane.

     Select from:

    • Bottom (default)
    • Right
  • Go To - jump to one of the following options of the current item on the screen.

    Any option that is greyed out does not apply to the current item on the screen.

    Choose from:

    • Properties - Properties tab
    • Notes - Notes tab
    • Preview - Preview electronic document tab
    • Previous - Previous electronic document tab
    • Rendition - Rendition of the electronic document tab
    • Search - go to the Search Pane
    • Shortcuts - go to the Shortcuts Bar

  • Windows - the Windows dialogue box appears with a list of open windows.
    The buttons in the Windows dialogue box:
    • Activate - activates the selected window
    • OK - closes the dialogue box and shows the selected window
    • Close Window(s) - closes the selected window
    • Cascade - arranges the maximised windows behind each other
    • Tile Horizontally - arranges the selected windows side by side, if possible
    • Tile Vertically - arranges the selected windows underneath each other, if possible
    • Minimise - minimises the selected windows

    Select the window to apply the function to. Hold the CTRL key to select multiple windows.

    Click one of the buttons to apply the function to the selected windows.

  • Cascade - arranges the maximised windows behind each other
  • Stacked - arranges the selected windows underneath each other, if possible
  • Side by Side - arranges the selected windows side by side, if possible
  • Close All - closes all open windows
  • Reload (F6 key) - checks the dataset and updates all windows, even those minimised.

    The F6 reload function also empties the cache.
