Working with origins

You can use origins as data source reference for importing large numbers of records or Locations to Content Manager using the Content Manager Software Development Kit (SDK) - see Origins.

You can view the origins in by clicking File - Record - Origins.

Right-click an origin for the specific commands:

  • New - to create an origin for the Content Manager SDK BulkLoader class to check a specific folder, or to import a specified tab delimited file. See Creating, editing and deleting origins.
  • Show History - displays the Origin Run Histories dialogue box with a list of past import runs using that origin.
    To see the records or Locations that were created during an import run, right-click the origin run history and click Show Records.
    You can also use Show Records on multiple tagged origin run history items.

  • Show Containers - displays the containers for this origin
  • Delete - to delete the origin. Content Manager prompts you to confirm first. See Creating, editing and deleting origins.
  • Properties - displays the origin properties - see Creating, editing and deleting origins
