Search for ... dialogue boxes
The Search for ... dialogue boxes appear when you search for items in Content Manager.
This may be when you use the Search menu on the toolbar, or when you right-click a list and on the Search menu, click Refine Search, for example.
The Search for ... dialogue box layout and fields depend on the type of Content Manager item you are looking for, and the search editor you are using. You can quickly change the search editor you are using with the button Editor at the bottom.

Search By - click KwikSelect at the end of the field to select a search method, or type its name.
Use the drop-down list to select from the recently used search methods.
The list of available search methods also changes dynamically, depending on what you are looking for. See Search methods.
Content Manager displays the search fields according to the search method you entered.Advanced Word Search - This option is only available for all word searches and available for selection only in binary search editor. When selected, the search parser decodes and identify all the logic keywords, eg, OR, AND, NEAR and NOT, and used them as logic operators in text search, otherwise all the words are used as search terms in text search.
String search editor - Advanced word search is by default selected in all word searches performed using string search editor and in addition to logic operators, the search parser decodes all words and identify different search methods also.
Quick search bar - Advanced word search is by default not selected in quick search bar.
- Enter your criteria to search by. Content Manager may change more fields dynamically.
- If needed, use the field More Search Options, for example, for preset date ranges
- Optional - to add a second criterion to search by, select AND or OR and click the New button above the parameter box towards the bottom.
Content Manager inserts a second line in the search parameter box underneath.

- Click OK to run the search.
Content Manager displays the results in a list.
The multi-field search editor displays a number fields that you can use to search for items matching all of your criteria. The fields that are available to you depend on the type of Content Manager item you are looking for. For a record search, the first field is Indexed Words.

The string editor appears with the field Enter search string, and a white space where you can enter it.
The string editor is available for more advanced users who are familiar with Content Manager's string search methods and their syntax.
To sort the search result in a particular order and to customise the columns for the search results, use the Sort, Filter and Results tabs and choose how to present the list.

Use the view pane's right-click menu and select Customise to configure Content Manager so that the information you want to see for each item is listed.
If necessary, to refine your search, right-click in the list of search results, and on the Search menu, click Refine Search.
