Creating broader terms
- From the Manage ribbon, select Thesaurus Terms
- Select a term from the existing list of terms using the ARROW keys or the mouse, for example, Dogs
- Right-click and select Related Thesaurus Terms.
The Relating Terms To dialogue box appears.
All available terms that can be related to the chosen term in some way are listed.

- Assume that the term Animal is to be a broader term of Dogs.
To relate the two terms in this way, select the term that is to be related to the chosen term, for example, Animal.
- Click the relational button Broader.
The selected term will appear in the Related Terms section of the dialogue box with an icon that indicates its type of relationship
You can delete a term relationship by selecting it in this list and clicking Delete
