Finding Classifications
You can search for Content Manager Classifications using practically any of the information about them that is saved in Content Manager.
This is the pane in the main Content Manager window under the toolbars.
Use the fields:
- Search For - select Classifications
- Search By - use KwikSelect to select a search method, or type all in the drop-down box
- Matching criteria - enter the data to find
- Run the search button - click to start the search

- On the Manage ribbon, click Classifications
- Right-click the list and on the Search menu, click Refine Search.
The Search for Classifications dialogue box appears. - Use the Boolean search editor, or, to use the options below, switch to the multi-field editor:
- Select Lower Level Classifications Of: (leave blank for All Top Levels) - either search for all lower level Classification numbers of a selected Classification or search for all top levels by leaving the field blank
- Search by Classification Term Prefix - to find Classifications whose names start with certain letters
- Search by Classification Word - to find Classifications whose names or notes contain certain letters
- Search by Classifications requiring approval by - returns Classifications with the specified Approver Location
- Search by Owner - returns Classifications with the specified Owner Location
- Show Classifications that are not in use - includes Classifications that have not been attached to records in the list
- Filter the search to only include active classifications, by selecting the Only show active classifications option on the Filter tab. This option can be saved by selecting Save filters as default.
- Click OK.
Content Manager returns the Classifications that match your criteria.
