Keyboard Customisation
Content Manager enables you to create and modify shortcut keys.
Shortcut keys are key combinations that carry out a command. They can be any combination of keys involving SHIFT, CTRL, and ALT and another key - for example CTRL+C for Cut, SHIFT+INSERT for Paste, etc. CTRL+F for Find etc.
Shortcut keys in Content Manager are set according to the permissions set for the user. Therefore, the keys allocated to each user may be different.
Use the Keyboard shortcuts button to configure keyboard shortcuts and assign your own user-defined shortcuts.
- Right-click in the Ribbon area and select Customize the Ribbon.
The Customize Ribbon dialogue box appears.
- Select the Keyboard shortcuts Customize button.
- Categories - lists the categories of commands available in Content Manager
- Commands - lists all the commands for the selected category.
Select the category containing the command you want to set up or modify for the shortcut key.
- Current Keys - lists the shortcut keys for the selected command
- Press New Shortcut Key - click in the field and press the new shortcut key combination.
Click Assign to assign the shortcut.You can assign multiple shortcut keys to each command.
- Description - displays the description of the currently selected command
- Assign - to assign a new shortcut key to the selected command
- Remove - to remove the selected shortcut key from the selected command
- Reset - to remove all user-defined shortcut keys
- Recent Changes - click this option to reset the changes you've made during the current update (before closing the Customize Keyboard dialogue).
- To Default - click this option to reset all changes made back to the default settings.
