Report Designer dialogue box

  1. On the Home - Layouts menu, click Report and double-click a report.

    The Report Layouts dialogue box appears.

  2. To open the report layout designer, either right-click in the left window and click New Report or Design to modify an existing report layout.

    If you clicked New Report, Content Manager displays the types of report or bands you can use to design a report.

  3. Choose the type you want, name your report and choose other options as you wish.

    The Content Manager Report Layout <name> window displays the elements on the report for the selected type or for the selected report:

    You can open as many report designer windows as you need.

    Each window will open separately from the main Content Manager window.

    NOTE:

    • When you select Design from a list of reports, for example, in the middle of a print report task for a list of records, the designer window will be part of the main Content Manager window.
    • Content Manager report layouts and report graphics accept numbers and text characters only, not special characters like &, %, etc. This includes importing report graphics with these characters in the file name.

  4. Click the Save button to save your changes to the design
