Finding and filtering by Additional Field values
You can find Content Manager items by the value of their Additional Fields.
- In the Search pane's Search For field, select the type of Content Manager item to find, for example, Records - see Search pane
- In the Search By field, enter the search clause name of the Additional Field to use as criterion
Viewing an Additional Field's search clause
- List the Additional Field, for example by clicking Manage - Additional Fields
- In the list window, display the column Search Clause Name - see Customising the list pane.
Content Manager displays the search clause names in that column.
- In the field Matching criteria, enter the field value to find
- Click the button Run the search.
Content Manager returns the records that match the Additional Field and value.
TIP: When searching for records using an Additional Field that is a Text type, you can enter a * in the Matching criteria field to find all records that have a non-blank value for the Additional Field value.
To find records that do not have a value in the Additional Field, use the NOT option for the search e.g. not <additionalfieldname>:*
