Migrating databases
NOTE: Datasets to be migrated are required to have their schema up to date.
There are two possible ways to migrate data from one database to another.
- Creating a new dataset based on the target database, see Creating or upgrading Content Manager datasets
Make the following adjustments:
- On the Options dialog, you will need to provide a WorkPath For Bulk Loading. See Options dialog box.
- On the Initialization dialog, choose Migrate. See Initialization dialog box.
- Export an existing dataset to be manually imported into a new dataset - start here: Exporting Content Manager data.
IMPORTANT: If migrating an SQL Text Indexed dataset, post migration the SQL Text special tables will need to be created, the dataset indexed and the Stoplist synchronized as the migration process does not migrate these required tables. See SQL Text Index for details.
