Other

Other contains options for system administration functions, mismatching software versions, the client clock and the configuration of trusted server accounts.

  1. Click the Options button
  2. Click the Other tab.

    The Other dialog box appears.

    • Include system administration functions in the main windows client (trim.exe) - on by default, when this option is enabled system administration features will be displayed in the Content Manager client. If this option is not selected, certain features will not be available in the client, but will be accessible using the Content Manager Administration client only (TRIMAdmin.exe), found at, by default, C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Content Manager
For further details on this client, see Content Manager Administration Client
    • When making a connection from a client to a workgroup -
      • Suppress warning message if software versions do not match - select to not show users warning messages when there is a mismatch.

If this option is not selected, users will see a warning message when the version or build numbers of Content Manager do not match.

For example, when the server is on an earlier version and the client on a later version, or the server uses Content Manager build number #2881 and a client build number #2880, then a message appears when a user logs on to Content Manager.

      • Allow clients to send SQL to older workgroups that don't support the latest data retrieval features - select this option to send SQL when communicating with an older version Workgroup Server that does not support the Content Manager data access features.
If this option is not selected:
        - clients will detect any instances that need SQL to be sent and raise an error rather than sending SQL
        - Workgroup Servers will also detect any transmissions of raw SQL and will also raise an error
    • When accepting dates and times from client connections - Synchronize client clocks with those on the workgroup server - select to ensure that dates and times submitted by client computers are synchronous with the Workgroup Server clock
    • Trusted server accounts that the Content Manager Workgroup Server will trust with supplying valid user credentials - list of trusted server accounts that are authorized to impersonate other Content Manager users.

The account that the Workgroup Server runs as is a trusted account by default. You may have other accounts that you use to run Content Manager services, for example:

      • Content Manager SharePoint integration
      • Content Manager Web Client
      • Content Manager ServiceAPI
If you do, then you must list those accounts here as trusted.

      • Enter user account name and press Add - to specify the server account to add to the list of trusted accounts
