Outlook online integration overview
When Microsoft Outlook online application is integrated with Content Manager, you can:
- Register an individual email in Content Manager - see Checking in Outlook online items.
- Register the attachments of an email in Content Manager - see Checking in Outlook items with attachments.
- Move one or more emails to a linked folder causing them to be filed in Content Manager
- Create check in styles which presets a particular Record Type and default values for various Record properties - see Creating new Check In Styles.
- Create a linked folder - see Working with Linked Folders.
- Set the default Check In Style, Record Type and locale for email messages - see Setting default Check In Style, Setting default Record Type, and Setting locale.
- Pin the task panel to avoid having to access the menu repeatedly when you have multiple emails to file or view in Content Manager - see Pinning Content Manager task pane.
- View and edit the record properties once an email is filed in Content Manager - see Viewing record properties and Editing record properties.
- Easily navigate to other records related to this record from the context tab - see Context tab.
- Add metadata details, web link, direct link of a record(s) and attach electronic documents in the mail you are composing - see Searching for record(s) and Attaching Content Manager record(s) .

IMPORTANT: If you are using the desktop version, you can access all the options from the Content Manager ribbon instead of More actions.
