Editing a record
In a record, you can edit the Record properties (see Editing record properties) and/or the electronic document of the record.
To edit the electronic document, you need to first Check out the record.
In Content Manager Mobile App, you can only Check out electronic document of the type MS Office, such as, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The Check out option is available for iOS only whereas Check out to OneDrive option is available for both Android and iOS Mobile App.
NOTE: Make sure that you have third party or dependency applications configured on your mobile to access and edit the documents.
Editing an electronic document in OneDrive
OneDrive option is enabled only for Office documents.
To edit a document in OneDrive, perform the following steps:

Navigate to the page where the record you want to edit is available.

Click More option of the record you want to edit.

Select Check out to OneDrive option from the context menu.
You can also access Check out to OneDrive option from the context menu available in record properties page.
A pop-up dialog informing that the check out is in process and the document shall be available in Checked Out Document page is displayed.

Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
The record is checked out, the edit status of the record will be Checked Out in the record properties page and the record is also available in the Checked Out Documents page.
The document is opened in the native app for editing. The changes are auto saved in OneDrive. If the document is not present in OneDrive, it will be copied to OneDrive for editing.

Editing an electronic document locally (Only on iOS)
To edit electronic document locally, perform the following steps:

Navigate to the page where the record you want to edit is available.

Click More option of the record and then select Check out option from the context menu.
A pop-up dialog informing that check out is in process is displayed.

Click OK.
The record is checked out, the edit status of the record will be Checked Out in the record properties page and the record is also available in the Checked Out Documents page.

Editing a document of a checked out record
To edit document of checked out record, perform the following steps:

Navigate to the page where the record you want to edit is available or to the Checked Out Documents page.

Click More option of the record and select Properties option.
The record properties page is displayed.

Click More option and select Edit document option from the context menu.
The document will be opened in the native app for editing.
After updating the document, check it back in to the Content Manager, see Checking In records.
