Configure the Delegation and Configuration Client
The Delegation and Configuration client provides access to configuration and delegation tasks, addressing enterprise management needs from distributed administration to policy enforcement. Through the Delegation and Configuration Console, you can set up the security model and server configurations you need to effectively manage your enterprise.
To configure the Delegation and Configuration Client:

Launch the Delegation and Configuration client, and navigate to Configuration Management > Update Administration Server Options.

Click the Client Options tab and define your preferred settings from the configuration options shown:

Allow users to search by ActiveView

Hide source-only objects from console lists

Show advanced Active Directory objects

Show Security command

Show resource and shared mailboxes when searching for users

Default user UPN suffix to current domain

Disable the Show Resource and Shared Mailboxes When Searching for Users
The Show Resource and Shared Mailbox as User option is now deprecated. If enabled earlier, complete the following steps to disable the associated registry:
- Run regedit.exe.
- Navigate to the registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Mission CriticalSoftware\OnePoint\Administration\Data\Modules\UserInterface\Settings - Set the value of ShowMailboxesWhenSearchingForUsers to 0 if 1 earlier.
- Restart the MCSAdminSvc service.
Modify Resource and Shared Mailbox Delegation
DRA supports resource and shared mailboxes as objects (not users). Complete the following steps to modify their delegation:
- Launch the Delegation and Configuration console as a DRA Admin.
- Navigate to Delegation Management and ActiveViews.
- Select the ActiveView and the User Rule associated with the shared mailbox as a user.
- Open the User Rule Properties.
- Select the Rules tab.
- Select the User Rule to modify.
- Select Modify Rule.
- Select an object type or condition.
- Select Change Object Type
- Select Resource Mailboxes or Shared Mailboxes.
- Define an ActiveView rule you require.
- Save changes to the ActiveView.
- Select Assignments In the Details pane.
- Select the Assigned Role or Power.
- Select Remove Assignment to remove the delegated user powers.
- Select Delegate and add an appropriate Assistant Admin.
- In the Roles and Powers tab, add an appropriate resource or shared mailbox powers you require.
- View the modified ActiveView.
- Click Next to view the Summary.
- Click Finish.
