Relationship: Element Has Filter

You can create an element filter from the context menu using the relationships of an element type to the filter type. The Filter dialog box modeled in the filter type is automatically opened. This pre-assigns appropriate input fields of the filter criteria with the element's property values.

Attribute Type Description
TargetID * FilterType The filter type that should be referenced using this relationship.

A Filter dialog box of this type is opened when you create a filter via the referenced element type.

Label [O] String Label in the context menu for creating a new filter.
SeqNo Integer The position of the entry in the context menu of the element. Filter action are always positioned before other element actions.
Show_In_Table_View Boolean Determines whether the Create Filter action should display in the Table Results view context menu.
Show_In_Tree_View Boolean Determines whether the Create Filter action should display in the Application Explorer view context menu.

Example

In the standard SCLM model, an element filter is defined for the element type "SCLM Type". It is the filter type SCLM_FIL_Member which is also used as a stand-alone filter type.
