Widechar (n)

Widechar (n) is a character-string variable where n is an integer that specifies the length of the string value held by the variable. Widechar (n) is a sequence of "byte-pairs" stored as 1 wide character in adjacent bytes (Big Endian order). In Open PL/I, the maximum length of a wide string variable is 16383 wide characters.
