If your PDSs can be migrated, then SourceConnect is unable to determine the dataset type, based on the VTOC information, as this does not exist while a dataset is migrated. If you wish for SourceConnect to "see" these datasets as well, then you must explicitly add them to the configure partitioned datasets list.
