Create the Primary Server

  1. On the Enterprise Server Administration home page, click Add.

    Page 1 of the Add server wizard appears.

  2. In the Server Name field, type RED, then click Next.

    Page 2 of the Add server wizard appears.

  3. Ensure that Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support is selected, then click Next.

    Page 3 of the Add server wizard appears.

  4. In the System Directory field, type c:\HA\RED; this is the path to the directory that you created in the previous steps.
  5. Select Show Local Console.
  6. Clear the Create TS3270 listener option.
  7. In the Configuration Information field, type the following:
    [ES-Environment]
    ES_HA_VSAM=Y;RED,locahost,9045,86;GREEN,localhost,9046;BLUE,locahost,9047

    This assumes that you are running MFDS on the standard port number of 86. It is possible to configure your communications to use shared memory; see Configure the High Availability Group Environment Variable for full syntax options for this variable.

  8. Click Add.

    The primary server is created, and appears in the table on the Enterprise Server Administration home page.

You can now create the standby servers.
