The Migrate Window

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Once a connection to a server is established, the Migrate window appears. This window contains tools and controls for selecting source tables, specifying a destination and setting migration parameters.

The Menu bar contains Migrate commands you can use to specify migrate options and launch a migration. For a description of each command on the Menu bar, see The Migrate Menus.

The Toolbar contains the following icons that provide quick access to a particular command or function.

Icon Description

Opens the Catalog Browser if it is not already open. If the Catalog Browser is open, this button refreshes its contents.

Lets you specify options for the selected table or a query.

*
Runs a migration of the specified tables using the specified parameters.

Opens Migrate help.

The Catalog Browser is used to select tables and queries that you want to migrate to another location (i.e., specify the source tables or queries). For more information about the Catalog Browser, see The Catalog Browser.

The Schema Viewer graphically displays the source tables that have been selected for migration. From this window, you can set options, and display dependent and referenced tables. For more information about the Schema Viewer, see The Schema Viewer.
